Hotel O Kathedral enjoys an exceptional location in the heart of Antwerp. You stay directly opposite the impressive Cathedral of Our Lady, just a stone’s throw from the Grote Markt and Groenplaats. The River Scheldt and the main shopping streets are also within walking distance.

🚆 By train
From Antwerp-Central Station, it is about a 15-minute walk to the hotel.
Route:
Keyserlei → Teniersplaats → Leysstraat → Meir → Meirbrug
At the Boerentoren, turn right towards Groenplaats.
Walk past McDonald’s and take Jan Blomstraat. This leads you directly to Handschoenmarkt, where you will find the hotel in front of you.
🚋 By tram or metro
Fast connection (±10 minutes):
Take tram lines 3, 5, 9 or 15 to Groenplaats stop.
From there, walk towards McDonald’s, take Jan Blomstraat, and you will arrive at Handschoenmarkt, where the hotel is located.
🚕 By taxi
Antwerp Taxi can bring you directly to the hotel entrance and pick you up there as well. Card payments are accepted.

✈️ From the airport
Antwerp International Airport: ±7 km (±22 minutes)
Brussels Airport: ±45 km (±40 minutes)
From both airports, you can easily continue your journey by train, bus, airport shuttle, or taxi.
🚗 Parking
Hotel O Kathedral is located in a pedestrian zone. If you are arriving by car, it is best to enter a nearby parking facility as your destination.
Within 200 metres you will find the following underground car parks:
Parking Grote Markt – Ernest Van Dijckkaai 3
Parking Groenplaats – Groenplaats 1
Parking Brabo – Kammenstraat 2
🚏 Park & Ride
To avoid traffic and city congestion, you can use Park & Ride zones on the outskirts of Antwerp. From there, you can easily reach the city centre by tram or bus.

🌍 Low Emission Zone (LEZ)
Antwerp is committed to cleaner air. Since 1 February 2017, the city centre and part of Linkeroever have been designated as a Low Emission Zone (LEZ). The most polluting vehicles are no longer allowed to enter this area. If you are arriving by car, always check in advance whether your vehicle is allowed in the LEZ to avoid fines or issues.
Important to know
Vehicles with a foreign licence plate (except Dutch plates) must be registered, even if they are allowed.
