These terms and conditions apply to all reservations, stays, and services provided by Hotel O Kathedral. By making a reservation, the guest agrees to these terms and conditions.

The person making the reservation is considered the contracting party and is responsible for all obligations arising from the reservation, even if the stay is used by third parties.

Reservations can be made via the hotel’s website, by email, by phone, or through authorized online booking platforms.

A reservation is binding once it has been confirmed by the hotel via email or through the reservation system.

Changes to confirmed reservations are always subject to availability and any rate changes.

For reservations made through online travel agencies (OTAs) such as Booking.com or Expedia, the cancellation and reservation terms and conditions as stated on the respective platform or rate apply. These may differ from the terms and conditions for direct reservations with the hotel.

Group Reservations

For group reservations of more than 4 people or more than 4 rooms, please contact us at info@hotelokathedral.com. Different reservation, payment, and cancellation policies may apply.

The hotel reserves the right to require a deposit or apply different terms and conditions for such reservations.

Rates and Payments

All prices listed are in euros and include VAT, unless otherwise stated.

The listed rates are per room per night and do not include any local taxes, such as the city tax, if applicable.

Payment for the stay is due upon arrival, unless otherwise agreed in advance. The hotel reserves the right to request full or partial prepayment.

For non-refundable rates, the full amount is charged at the time of booking and is non-refundable.

The hotel may request a valid credit card as a guarantee for the reservation or for additional charges during the stay.

Invoices must be paid upon receipt. The hotel reserves the right to charge administrative fees or interest in the event of late payment.

Guarantee

A deposit of €150 is required at check-in. This is a temporary hold placed on your debit or credit card. The amount will be automatically released within 5 to 7 days.

Cancellations and no-shows

For flexible rates, a reservation can be canceled free of charge up to 24 hours before the day of arrival (before 3:00 PM local time), unless otherwise stated in the booking terms and conditions.

For reservations made through online booking platforms, the specific cancellation terms of the selected rate on that platform apply.

For non-refundable rates, cancellation or modification is not possible, and the full amount remains due.

In the event of a no-show, the hotel reserves the right to charge the full amount of the reservation.

Check-in and check-out

Check-in is available starting at 3:00 PM. If the room is ready earlier, you are welcome to check in before 3:00 PM.

Check-out is at 11:00 AM. You can book a late check-out until 1:00 PM for an additional fee of €25.

Early check-in or late check-out is only possible subject to availability and may incur additional charges.

If the room is not vacated on time, the hotel may charge an additional fee or an extra night’s stay.

Use of rooms

The rooms are rented exclusively for lodging purposes.

The maximum number of guests per room must not be exceeded. The hotel reserves the right to charge additional fees or refuse entry if this limit is exceeded.

Children are welcome, but must be included in the reservation. Cribs are available upon request and subject to availability.

Behavior and House Rules

Guests are expected to behave respectfully toward other guests, staff, and hotel property.

The hotel reserves the right to deny access to the hotel or to terminate the stay of guests who cause a disturbance or fail to comply with the house rules, without the right to a refund.

Smoking Policy

Hotel O Kathedral is a completely smoke-free hotel. This policy has been implemented for the sake of fire safety and the comfort of all our guests. We therefore enforce this policy very strictly. A fine of €150 will be charged for any violation of this smoking ban.

Pets

Pets are not allowed in the hotel, with the exception of certified service dogs.

Liability

The hotel is not liable for the loss, theft, or damage of guests’ personal belongings, unless this is the result of willful misconduct or gross negligence on the part of the hotel.

The guest is liable for any damage to rooms, furniture, or other hotel property caused by the guest or by persons accompanying the guest.

Force majeure

The hotel cannot be held liable for failure to fulfill its obligations if such failure is due to force majeure, such as power outages, pandemics, fires, strikes, or government measures.

Complaints

Complaints must be reported as soon as possible during your stay so that the hotel can provide an appropriate solution.

Complaints submitted after departure can only be addressed if they are submitted in writing within 7 days of departure via info@hotelokathedral.com.

Applicable law

These terms and conditions are governed by Belgian law.

In the event of a dispute, the competent courts of the District of Antwerp shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
